1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 lb. margarine
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
1 big egg
Sesame, caraway or celery seeds.

1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Grate cheese. Sift flour with baking powder and cut in margarine. Add onion, cheese and lightly beaten egg and mix until blended. Shape into balls about 3/4 inch in diameter and roll each lightly in seeds. Roll between palms of hand into sticks about 3.5 inches long. Place on ungreased bake sheet about an inch apart and bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. makes about six dozen. These are just as good cold as hot. They keep well stored in a tightly covered tin.
